Moss Vale man’s suspicion leads him to life-enhancing $200,000 Lucky Lotteries discovery
A Moss Vale man who suspected he might’ve been the mystery winner of a $200,000 prize in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw has today proven his theory correct.
The Southern Highlands resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1612, drawn Wednesday 24 May 2023.
The winning entry was unregistered which meant we had no way of contacting the ticketholder to confirm the news and had to wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.
The regular player suspected he might’ve been the mystery winner after his wife told him about an unregistered winning ticket sold at his local newsagency in Moss Vale.
“Oh, it’s so great!” he laughed.
“I had already suspected that I might’ve been the winner.
“My wife told me that a 1st Prize in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw hadn’t been claimed at the Moss Vale Newsagency, and I knew I had a ticket in the draw!
“I usually check my tickets on a Monday, but I was unable to get down to the newsagency. I received a surprise this morning when I scanned them at the self-scanner.
“The self-scanner told me to go to the counter and see a team member. I gave the ticket to the outlet owner, and he told me that it had won $200,000 and a free ticket!
“Apparently I’m on a winning streak because I didn’t expect another free ticket!
“I always purchase tickets into Lucky Lotteries. It’s my favourite game.”
The New South Wales man revealed the win has come at the most ‘perfect time’ and will help him achieve his dreams of being a proprietor.
“We have some properties, and this will really help us pay them off,” he shared.
“It’s been tough as of late, so this win has come at the most perfect time.
“Thank you so much.”
His winning entry of one random number was purchased at Moss Vale Newsagency, 19 Clarence St, Moss Vale.
Moss Vale Newsagency manager Donna Moran said her team are thrilled to have sold a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize winning entry after a long hiatus.
“We’re all very excited to hear the news that we’d sold a 1st Prize winning entry in the recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw as it’s been a while since our last major winner,” she said.
“Our customers are all buzzed and very excited to hear that their local newsagency has sold a major winning ticket - the last winning ticket wesold was back in 2020!
“This marks our 24th major lottery win since Moss Vale Newsagency first opened 44 years ago, and we couldn’t be happier for our winner.
“We would like to congratulate them and wish them all the best. We hope this prize can allow for some of their dreams to come true.”
