A Northern New South Wales couple has confessed to being completely bowled over after discovering they won $200,000 in one of the first Lucky Lotteries draws of the new year.

The elated pair scored the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1639, drawn Tuesday 2 January 2024.

“Oh mate, this is unbelievable! Honestly, we’re just shocked,” the happy husband laughed when we called to confirm the win.

“We don’t often check our tickets immediately because we’ve never entertained the idea that we’d actually win!

“It couldn’t have happened at a better time for us either.

“We’re semi-retired and have been trying to figure out how the coming years will look and what we need to do to prepare.

“Now that this has happened, it just feels like a huge weight has been lifted from our shoulders.

“You have no idea how much this means to us!”

Their winning entry of one random number was purchased at Wollongbar Post Office News & Gifts, Shop 8, Wollongbar Shopping Centre, 41 Simpson Avenue, Wollongbar.
