A hardworking man from Strathfield has declared ‘no more overtime’ after winning $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1144, drawn on Wednesday 17 October 2018.

As well as winning the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000, the man’s entry also scored a consolation prize of $1,000 bolstering his total win to $201,000.

When we spoke with flabbergasted winner this morning to confirm the prize, the man admitted he couldn’t quite grasp the news of his win.

“Oh god, are you sure this isn’t one of my mates stirring me?” he said doubtfully.

“I just can’t believe it!

“Oh god, oh god, this is good, this is great!

“I am all shaky! I feel great, this is so exciting.

“I was feeling lucky last week and saw the jackpot was rising, so I thought I would buy a ticket!

“I thought it was my turn to win! I guess it really was my turn!”

When asked how he planned to spend the happy win, the man said it had come at an opportune time.

“I will do some renovations on the house, give some to my kids, and pay off some bills,” he shared.

“I want to go to Europe for a holiday too with my wife.

“It really came at a perfect time! Now this means no more overtime at work!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry of three consecutive numbers at Strathfield South Newsagency, 193 The Boulevarde, Enfield.

Strathfield South Newsagency owner Hav Lee said she was thrilled to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry.

“We are thrilled for our customer!” she said.

“It is such great news.

“We hope to sell more winning tickets in the future.”
