A Glengowrie man has begun shopping for a new set of wheels after discovering he was suddenly $100,000 richer after work on Friday.

The Adelaide resident held the 1st Prize-winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10668 on Friday 2 September 2022.

In addition to pocketing the $100,000 1st Prize, his entry of five consecutive numbers also won a $1,000 consolation prize.

“Unbelievable!” the man exclaimed when we confirmed his win.

“It’s only in the last week or two that I’ve started getting entries into Lucky Lotteries again. I saw the Jackpot Prize was getting up there, so I thought I’d try it. This isn’t the Jackpot Prize, but I’ll still take it!

“Usually, I just get one number on my ticket, but this time I thought I’d get a few more, and it was the first time I’ve got consecutive numbers too.

“I checked my ticket on the self-scanner, and it said to go to the counter. I gave it to them. I thought it might be $500 or something. I didn’t really think about it.

“I couldn’t believe it when they told me it was $100,000! It was a bit of a shock, but I’ve calmed down now.

“I’ve just told the missus. She said, ‘Are you sure?’. She’s pretty happy.

“I might buy myself a new car! I’m due for an upgrade.”

The man’s winning entry was purchased at Morphett Arms Hotel, 138 Morphett Road, Glengowrie.
