More than four months after the draw, two nurses from Young have come forward to claim their $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize.
The New South Wales players won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10339, drawn Tuesday 17 December 2019.
This afternoon we spoke to the women moments after they had discovered their win.
“I am very good now,” one of the winners laughed.
“I had a big bundle of tickets to check, so I thought I better finally do it. I never usually check the tickets until I have quite a few. I just seem to forget!
“I purchased this ticket with a friend at work. We’ve been buying tickets together for more than five years.
“As soon as they told me I won, I called her and she came straight to the newsagency.
“We were balling our eyes out!
“We will definitely do something to celebrate when things are a bit more normal.
“It’s just amazing news! We couldn’t be happier.”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the delighted ladies declared they already knew exactly what they were going to do.
“She is going to use her prize to bring forward her retirement,” one winner said.
“I am putting mine towards my kid’s education and their health.”
The winning entry was purchased at Town Hall Newsagency, 188 Boorowa Street, Young.
Town Hall Newsagency employee Nicole Donges said the outlet couldn’t be happier the winners had finally discovered the exciting news.
“What fantastic news!” she said.
“We’ve been waiting for the winner to check their ticket!
“I am so glad they have discovered their good fortune. I can only imagine how happy they would’ve been.
“We wish them all the best with their prize and hope they enjoy it.”
