The working week just got a whole lot shorter for an inner-city Sydney barista who discovered he won 1st Prize in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Sydney player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1246, drawn Tuesday 12 March 2019.

Confirming his win this afternoon, he told us how he discovered he was $200,000 richer not long after the draw.

“I walked into the newsagency and the owner told me someone who had purchased an entry at his outlet had just won 1st Prize in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw,” he explained.

“Then I remembered I had a ticket into the draw so I got him to check it.

“I couldn’t believe it when he told me I was the winner!

“I was screaming and carrying on!

“I really couldn’t believe it! 

“I don’t know what to do now. I don’t know if I should leave work for the day or keep working!

“I think I need a few days off to celebrate with my family!” 

The young Sydney resident said he’d use his prize to set himself up for the future.

“I think I’ll just save the money for now and decide a little bit down the track.  

“I might put it towards a house deposit. 

“I’m so shocked! I really don’t know what I’ll do at the moment.

“It’s just so unbelievable.

“I don’t play very often but when I saw the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot so high I thought I should give it a go and I’m so glad I did!”

The winning entry of one random number was purchased at Queens Square Newsagency, 22 Macquarie Street, Sydney.

Queens Square Newsagency owner Peter Wang said he was thrilled for his customer. 

“I’ve been so excited checking all the Lucky Lotteries entries today, hoping to scan the winning ticket!” he exclaimed. 

“It was incredible when we realised it was one of our regular customers. I’m so happy for him!

“We’re feeling like a very lucky outlet with this win!”
