A Gold Coast construction worker and avid surfer confessed he was left with goosebumps and felt a chill run up his spine when it was revealed he’d won $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.
The Southport man in his 40s scored the 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1547, drawn Thursday 14 October 2021.
The Queenslander is the 100th Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winner across Australia so far this year.
The winner was hard at work and oblivious to his good fortune until we made contact.
“Two hundred thousand dollars!?” he questioned.
“Amazing! I’m stoked. I’m over the moon! My wife will be really happy.
“I’m blown away. Speechless. I can’t believe it.
“I got a few seconds of shaking there and some goosebumps too. The chill went up my spine, but now I feel divine!
“It’s going to make a huge difference to my family.
“We’ll put half on the mortgage and treat ourselves with the other half – go surfing, train, keep fit.
“It’s fantastic news – just in time for Christmas!”
His winning entry of one random number was purchased at Lucky Dragon Newsagency, Shop G112, Australia Fair, 40-42 Marine Parade, Southport.
Lucky Dragon Newsagency manager Annalia Liu said she was thrilled to discover one of her customers had won big.
“That’s awesome! Such good news,” she said.
“We sold a few division one wins a while ago, so it’s good to see the wins are back.
“We wish our customer all the best with their prize.”
