Sleepless night for Orange man after discovering $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win!
The excitement of discovering his $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win more than a month after the draw left an Orange man tossing and turning last night.
The New South Wales player won the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1522, drawn Monday 8 March 2021.
The ticket was unregistered, so officials we had no way of contacting the winner to break the news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
Last night, the jubilant man checked his ticket on The Lott app and discovered he’d been unknowingly $200,000 richer for more than a month.
“I am much, much better now,” he laughed.
“I had completely forgotten about the ticket until last night. I downloaded The Lott app and checked a few of the tickets I had.
“I couldn’t believe it when It said I’d won $200,000! I was completely gobsmacked!
“I only got about two hours sleep last night. I was just up all night thinking about it, tossing and turning.
“I just wanted the news confirmed! My stomach was filled with nerves!
“I am just completely stunned. This is amazing.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the cheerful winner said he wanted to be sensible with his prize.
“I want to pay off some bills and put most of it in the bank,” he explained.
“We will give some to our family as well, and I wouldn’t mind going away for a weekend to celebrate.”
The winning entry was purchased at Orange Central Newsagency, Orange Central Newsagency, Shop 23, 277 Summer Street, Orange.
Orange Central Newsagency co-owner Jennifer Allen said she was thrilled the winner had now claimed their prize ahead of the weekend.
“That’s great news for our winner,” she acknowledged.
“We couldn’t be happier for him. We can imagine it was a great surprise, especially right before the weekend.
“We were eagerly waiting for our mystery winner to come forward, so it’s fantastic he’s now discovered the news.
“Hopefully, he can spoil himself with his prize.
“We can’t wait for our next major win.”
