Inverell man’s ‘life-changing’ Lucky Lotteries win to be used to rebuild after bushfire devastation
An Inverell man has declared his $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win as ‘life-changing’ after losing his farm in a bushfire earlier this year.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1480, drawn Monday 16 March 2020.
This morning we called the man to break the exciting news.
“Holy dooley! I’m shaking! This is wonderful!” he exclaimed.
“I just can’t believe it. I am in tears.
“I feel so restless right now.
“I can’t tell you how pleased I am!
“This is a lot of luck. Thank you so very much!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the stoked bloke admitted it would be life changing.
“We had a massive fire rip through the farm, destroying it,” he explained.
“I lost almost everything! There’s barely anything left.
“It was terrible. I’ve been so stressed, worrying about what I’ve needed to do.
“This will help me get back on my feet. You have no idea how much this means to me. It changes everything for me.
“I will be able to rebuild my farm now!
“I am going to throw a BBQ and invite all my neighbours over to celebrate. This is certainly something that deserves to be celebrated!”
The winning entry was purchased at Inverell Newsagency, 128 Byron Street, Inverell.
Inverell Newsagency owner Anthony Michael said he was absolutely thrilled the winning entry was sold to one of his local customers.
“It’s absolutely incredible news!” he said.
“I couldn’t be happier for him, especially considering his circumstances.
“I hope this win makes a real difference to his life.
“Hopefully we sell some more of these major prize winning entries to our customers. It’s amazing being able to change someone’s life.”
