A new car and new travel horizons are on the cards for a Brighton man after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Brisbane resident held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3965, drawn Saturday 20 July 2019.

Each winner takes home a division one prize of $359,682.38.

Confirming his win with us this morning, the man recalled how he checked his entry on Sunday morning.

“It was great. I just checked the numbers on my phone. I’ve been playing the same numbers on my ticket for a while so I recognised them,” he explained.

“I went and pulled the ticket out of my wallet. I had to check it a couple of times just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.

“It’s just perfect!”

While he had yet to shape firm plans for his prize, the Brisbane man said a few things had come to mind.

“It’s going to come in very handy,” he said.

“We need a second car for the family so we’ll be able to do that.

“And we want to do some travelling. Not sure where just yet, but it would be great to have a trip overseas.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Eventide News & Casket Agency, Shop 18, 353 Beaconsfield Terrace, Brighton.

Eventide News & Casket Agency owner Mynetta Cash said she was excited to have sold another division one winning entry.

“I was so excited when my husband rang me at home on Sunday morning to tell me we had a sold a division one prize. I have been telling customers for weeks that we must surely be due for another one,” she laughed.

“We sold two Saturday Gold Lotto division one winning entries in 2015, in March and December. We also sold a top prize on a $5 Instant Scratch-Its in January this year.

“We wish our latest winner all the best and we are so happy for them.”
