Wangaratta man struggles to grasp $1.7 million TattsLotto win
A Wangaratta man has revealed he’s still struggling to process the fact that he has become an overnight millionaire after bagging more than $1.7 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian player held one of the six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4415 drawn Saturday 11 November 2023 and took home a total prize of $1,745,043.22.
“This is amazing mate! I can’t believe it,” the winning man laughed when an official from The Lott called to confirm his win.
“I’ve been retired for a little while and there’s very few problems in my life, but any worries or stress have completely left my body now.
“You never expect something like this to happen to you and when it does it floors you!
“I’ve got a couple of kids and grandchildren, and I can’t wait to let them know. I’m going to change their lives!
“For me, it’ll be business as usual. It’s going to make my life a lot easier and ensure I can relax for the foreseeable future.
“There are also a few things around the house that need to be done but I’ve been putting those off. Looks like I’ve got no excuse now!
“Thanks so much mate, this is incredible!”
The division one winning entry was purchased at Wangaratta Lotto Card & Tobacconist, 69 Reid Street, Wangaratta.
Wangaratta Lotto Card & Tobacconist owners Sara and Damian D’Agostino said they were over the moon to have sold yet another division one winning entry.
“This is amazing! It’s always such a wonderful feeling to know you’ve helped change a customer’s life but it’s also fantastic to have sold another division one winning entry!” they said.
“We’ll be celebrating for weeks to come and plan on decking out the store with balloons and posters so everyone knows.
“Congratulations to our winner and we hope this win is life changing.”
