“I can’t speak!”: Burwood woman shocked into silence by $2.5 million Saturday Lotto win
A Burwood woman has confessed she feels like she’s walked into the light at the end of a tunnel after bagging more than $2.5 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydney resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4421, drawn Saturday 2 December 2023 and took home a total prize of $2,527,471.00.
“Oh my god! I can’t speak!” the woman gasped when we confirmed her windfall.
“It’s been such a rough few years for me and this is going to change everything.
“It really does feel like I’ve come to the end of a long tunnel and walked into the light!
“Oh my god. I’m over the moon.
“I can’t even think about anything I’m in so much shock.
“What I do know is that this will allow me to buy my first home, which is going to be amazing!
“I’ll help my family and then book a big holiday.
“Thank you, this is going to change my life!”
Their winning entry was purchased at Strathfield Plaza Newsagency, Shops 43 and 44 Strathfield Plaza, 11 The Boulevarde, Strathfield.
Strathfield Plaza Newsagency owner Ramesh Sethurao said the team were thrilled for their winning customer.
“We are all so excited to hear someone once again has won a division one prize at our store!” he said.
“Celebrations of this milestone will go on for a while and we’ve been telling every customer who comes in what happened.
