Woodcroft man’s spur-of-the-moment decision yields $2.3 million Saturday X Lotto loot
A Woodcroft man’s decision to detour from his trip to Bunnings on the weekend has delivered him a $2.3 million Saturday X Lotto win.
The South Australian held one of the 13 division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4429 on Saturday 30 December 2023. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,307,692.31.
“It’s a bit of good news just before 2024 starts,” the winning man exclaimed when we called to confirm his win on Sunday morning.
“I got on the computer this morning and checked my ticket and couldn’t believe it!
“It’s pretty surreal!
“It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. I was at Bunnings yesterday, and I just thought I’d go into the $30 million draw, so I went and got a ticket.
“I’m trying to stay cool, calm and collected. I don’t think it’s fully sunk in yet.
“I’ll have to spend the next week or so just thinking about how best to use it.
“I’ll probably put into shares and investments and see what happens from there.
“I might even buy a new car!
“What a way to finish the year.”
The man’s winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased at Pimpala Newsagency & Gifts, Shop 1C, Woodcroft Plaza, 217 Pimpala Road, Woodcroft.
