Gold Lotto lightning strikes Currimundi: Local couple left numb by $650,000 windfall
A Currimundi couple has confessed they were left feeling numb with shock and disbelief when they realised they’d scored $650,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Sunshine Coast residents held one of the eight division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4417, drawn Saturday 18 November 2023. Each division one winning entry scored $653,226.42.
“We’re pretty excited!” the winning wife exclaimed when their prize was confirmed.
“We got a message on Monday asking us to check our tickets, so I went online and entered the ticket number to see.
“I felt a bit numb to be honest. We looked at it a few times.
“We just said a couple of days ago, maybe this ticket will be the lucky one. And there you go!
“But I don’t think we’ll really believe it until it’s in our bank account.
“We haven’t got any firm plans yet, but I’m sure enjoying the prize won’t be a problem.
“I think we’re going to have a pretty good Christmas time and a great 2024!
“Thank you for the great news.”
The couple’s winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Currimundi News, Shop 1, Currimundi Market Place, Cnr Nicklin Way and Bellara Drive, Currimundi.
