An Elizabeth Vale couple rejoiced upon uncovering their $730,000 Saturday X Lotto win in the weekend’s draw, but their son needed some persuasion after initially overlooking their life-enhancing news.

The Adelaide residents held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4405, drawn Saturday 7 October 2023 and pocketed a total prize of $739,668.19.

The dynamic duo discovered their newfound fortune straight after the Saturday night’s draw, leading them to a sleepless night.

“Phew, I can breathe now!” the winning husband revealed.

“We were ready for someone to tell us that it was a prank and say ‘Ha! Ha!’.

“We’ve had no sleep. It’s been a couple of sleepless nights after discovering the win on Saturday night.

“It feels very real now that you’ve confirmed the win. There was a lot of, ‘Are we dreaming?’ and ‘Did we read it right?’.

“I think we finally went to bed last night, but it wasn’t for long. We passed out from tiredness and adrenaline.

“We sent our son a text message with a screenshot of the win from The Lott app and he responded with ‘oh nice’. He didn’t look at the screenshot at all.

“We told him to read it again and then there were a few words I can’t repeat – a bit of colourful language to say the least!

“We’re on cloud nine.”

The long-time players revealed the win had come at the perfect time with some milestone family events approaching.

“We’ve got bits and pieces that need to be completed and a family wedding in the coming months,” he exclaimed.
