A Dingley Village man has admitted “you couldn’t wipe the smile off my dial with a sledge hammer” after discovering he and his wife are suddenly more than $621,000 richer thanks to TattsLotto.

The couple holds one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4085, drawn Saturday 12 September 2020. Each division one winning entry took home a prize of $621,499.92.

The pair did not register their entry to a Tatts Card, so our team had no way of contacting the winner and had to wait for them to come forward.

Today, the Dingley Village couple checked their ticket and discovered they were the mystery winners lottery officials had been searching for.

“Wowee!” the winning man said.

“Wow, so far, so good then, hey dear?

“This is unbelievable!

“Phew. Gosh I feel a little bit different now.

“I had absolutely no idea.

“Life was already good, but now it’s great!

“My wife is sitting beside me and she is crying, she can’t say a word.

“You couldn’t wipe the smile off my dial with a sledge hammer!

“This changes our life completely.

“I can’t wait to celebrate. We will go out for a nice dinner. A very, very nice dinner.”

When asked how the duo planned to enjoy their unexpected windfall, the overjoyed husband said he had a few things in mind.

“Well, we are both retired, so this will certainly go towards making life a lot more fun!” he said.

“We will help our kids, and we will definitely do something a bit more lavish to spoil ourselves.

“We’re so overwhelmed though, I don’t really know what that will be.”

The winning entry was purchased at Nova Pharmacy Dingley, 97 Centre Dandenong Road, Dingley Village.

Nova Pharmacy Dingley outlet manager Suzanne Bates said she was thrilled to have been there when the couple discovered the news.

“They came in to check their ticket. To be there for that moment, when they discovered they won division one, was just incredible,” she shared.

“They were so excited!

“They are such a lovely couple and they really deserve this win.

“We do wish them all the very best.

“Times are tough for everyone at the moment, so we really couldn’t be happier for them.

“All the staff would like to send our congratulations to the winners. Fingers crossed we have more major wins soon.”
