Cherished family birthdates and anniversaries helped deliver a $1 million windfall to a Mildura woman in last weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The “mindblown” winner held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4115, drawn Saturday 26 December 2020. Each division one winning entry takes home $1,061,316.47.

“God, I’m in shock,” the woman declared when we confirmed her prize.

“I walked past the radio and heard three of the numbers from the draw, but didn't think anything of it. Then when I first checked my ticket, I thought I had five numbers and was wishing I had a supplementary number to get division two. I had no idea I’d actually won division one!

“I can’t believe it!

“I’ve been playing these numbers for about 30 years. I never changed them. I’ve always kept them. They’re favourite numbers, birthdates and anniversaries.

“They’ve won the odd $20 in the past, but now they've really come to fruition.

“To think I’ve won is mindblowing.”

The Mildura resident shared the win would allow her and her family to enjoy a brighter New Year.

“What a time of year to win!” she laughed.

“I’m going to treat my family. They deserve it.

"I’ll be treating myself to something too, I just don’t know how yet.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her marked entry at Deakin Lucky Lotto, 204 Deakin Avenue, Mildura.

Deakin Lucky Lotto manager Helen Brown said she was excited to hear a major win had landed in the region.

“It’s been some time since our last division one win, and the timing has no doubt made for an extra special Christmas for our lucky winner,” she said.

“Our customers will be pleased to see that big wins can happen.

“Our last division one win was in July 2017, and we’ve sold more than 20 division one winning tickets during the past 25 years.

“The Deakin Lucky Lotto team would like to extend our very best wishes to our winner. Congratulations and enjoy!”
