Beverly Hills couple to party and put plans into motion after $50,000 Instant Scratch-Its top prize windfall
A Beverly Hills man and his partner are excited to celebrate their upcoming birthdays in style and make some changes to their home after winning a $50,000 Instant Scratch-Its top prize.
The top prize winning $4 Galaxy Bingo Plus ticket was purchased at Broad Arrow Newsagency & Tobacconist, 66 Broadarrow Road, Narwee.
Confirming their sensational instant win with us this morning, the couple explained they had been sitting in the sunroom scratching their Instant Scratch-Its ticket together when they discovered their good fortune.
“When we have a little win in a lottery, I’ll treat myself and my wife to a couple of Instant Scratch-Its tickets,” he said.
“We took our Instant Scratch-Its tickets home to scratch in the sunroom together. I scratched the top prize winning one and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
“The funniest part of the whole thing is that my wife won a small prize on her ticket too!
“Oh my word, did I keep that ticket safe! I was extremely apprehensive about taking my ticket to get checked at the outlet counter.
“We are older, and are each celebrating a milestone birthday soon, so we will have a party! We also have some home improvements we’d like to make.
“We have shared the news with our family, who we will celebrate with.
“We are grateful for our prize and are thankful to the team at Broad Arrow Newsagency & Tobacconist. They are always so helpful and kind.”
Broad Arrow Newsagency & Tobacconist owner Mandy Tiaw said she and her team were ecstatic to have sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“We have had a syndicate win, and a division one win in the last year or so, and now this. It just keeps getting better and better,” she exclaimed.
“I’m so happy for him and his wife because they’re regular customers and lovely people.
“When the customer came in with their winning Instants Scratch-Its ticket, he just kept saying thank you and asked me to hold his hand.
“When I asked him what was wrong, he revealed that he believed he had won a top prize.
“Congratulations again and I hope his win will help him and his family achieve all they want to do.”
