Dreamy Set for Life win leaves Mona Vale woman pinching herself
A Mona Vale woman was convinced she had fallen into a dream when she discovered her division one win in a recent Set for Life draw.
The Sydney Northern Beaches resident held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2998, drawn Saturday 21 October 2023.
She takes home a total division one prize paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
“Oh, thank you so much!” she exclaimed.
“That’s wonderful. Such great news!
“I wasn’t sure if it was true. I woke up this morning in a complete daze and I thought maybe it was all a dream.
“I went into the newsagency on the weekend, and I brought my Set for Life ticket along to check, but the team member couldn’t confirm the win and told me to contact The Lott.
“In the meantime, I had gone online and checked the winning numbers. I was left shocked.
“My husband and I were up late last night celebrating – it was a big night!
“We have already talked about framing the win in our room.
“What a phone call!”
With $20,000 about to land into her bank account on the 15th of every month, the New South Wales woman immediately knew she could resign from her job and become a retiree.
“I’ll be able to retire which is unbelievable!” she shared.
Her winning five-game QuickPick was purchased at Nextra Newsagency Mona Vale, Shop 11 Pittwater Place Shopping Centre, 10 Park Street.
Nextra Newsagency Mona Vale manager Michael Corbett said it was a great feeling to have sold a division one winning entry in Set for Life.
“It’s pretty good! We’re so happy to have sold a division one winning entry worth $20,000 a month for the next twenty years!” he shared.
“It’s the first time we’ve ever sold a division one winning entry in Set for Life so it’s a great milestone for us. It has started to generate some buzz in the community which is nice.
“On behalf of the entire team at Nextra Newsagency, we wish them all the best with their prize and we hope they enjoy the winning experience for many years to come!”
