“The universe works in mysterious ways!”: Gympie couple’s $4.8 million Set for Life manifestation comes true
A Gympie couple have confessed they instantly felt woozy and weak at the knees from the news they’d scored $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in last night’s Set for Life draw.
The Queenslanders held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2868, drawn Tuesday 13 June 2023.
They took home the division one prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
The dynamic duo are the 117th Set for Life winner since the game was introduced in 2015, and the 10th division one winner so far in 2023.
The winning husband wasted no time answering the phone call from us this morning, answering on the first ring.
“Hang on, you’re kidding! I can’t believe this,” he gasped.
“This is extremely wonderful. We’re so shocked.
“My wife just went pale, and now she’s crying!
“We’ve often dreamt about winning Set for Life, but never have expected it to ever happen. It’s something we’ve manifested, and my wife has meditated about it.
“We were just talking about our financial plans before you called and it’s been a bit of a struggle as of late, so this news is particularly welcomed.
“The universe works in mysterious ways. We’re super grateful.
“I’ve always said, if I was to win any lottery game, I’d want to win Set for Life. It’s great knowing that we have a regular income coming in for the next 20 years.”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their lives being Set for Life, the regular players couldn’t wait to book the next flight overseas, help their family and friends and complete some renovations.
“We can’t wait to help our children and grandchildren - it’s going to do such wonderful things,” he said.
“We’ve always wanted to go overseas to Bali and complete a jungle tour, as well as Italy!
“We also need to complete some renovations.
“Thank you so much for this life-changing news.”
