Hi everyone, Amanda here with our final Set for Life update for the year.

With 17 Set for Life division one wins over the last 12 months, 2023 has turned out to be quite the winning year — and it isn’t over yet!

While many will enjoy a break over Christmas and the New Year, Set for Life draws continue every night, meaning there’s still plenty of chances to win an incredible prize of $20,000 every month for 20 years.

It’s hard to believe some of our earliest winners from 2023 will almost be one year into their 20-year annuity prize. Among this group is a Wollongong woman who became Set for Life in January and had a hard time believing her prize was real. 

“I was having breakfast with my husband at the holiday house we’re staying at, and I stopped my husband in his tracks when I said, ‘Shut up! Shut up! I think we’ve won division one in Set for Life!’ she explained.

“We’ve been trying to come to terms with the insane news ever since. I’ve never won anything in my life, so winning this is absolutely amazing!

“I never thought this would happen to us. It feels like a prank or a dream, so it’s hard to know what the money will go to right now, but I’m sure it will go to good use.” 

We imagine that after many months of enjoying $20K on Replay, she’s finally realised her win was no prank. 

Another standout win from the year came in August when a happy accident saw a Narre Warren tradie take out two of this year’s division one wins. 

“I had no idea I’d won division one twice!” he exclaimed when we confirmed his prize.

“If I knew, I wouldn’t have come into work today. That’s incredible.

“My ticket runs for seven days but so I don’t miss a draw, sometimes there’s a crossover between the old ticket and the new ticket. That’s what did it for me last night.

“I guess that’s worked out well!” 

We’ll be eager to see if anyone else adds to our winning tally before the new year, but you do need a ticket to be in with a chance to win it! Don’t forget, every ticket gives you entry in seven consecutive draws. We’d love to be delivering some winning news to you soon! 

Set for Life’s 2023 quick stats:
  • There were 17 division one winning entries who scored $20,000 a month for 20 years. 
  • A total of 124 winners across Australia are now Set for Life.
  • Wednesday was the most popular day for a division one win, with four division one winning entries picked up on a Wednesday night draw.
  • The month of January saw the highest number of division one winning entries, with four landing in the month.
  • New South Wales/ACT took out the top state for Set for Life wins with six division one winning entries. Five went to WA, Queensland players took out four division one wins, and two landed in Vic. 
  • The number 15 stands strong as Set for Life’s “hot number”, appearing the most in this year’s draws and 6 is the “cold number”, being drawn the least frequently.
