A Bayview couple’s tough year has been turned around after this morning answering a call to the news they've won Set for Life! 

The Northern Territorians held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2269, drawn Friday 22 October 2021.

They take home the division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years. 

So far in 2021, there have been six division one wins in the Northern Territory collectively worth more than $46.03 million. 

The winning pair were busy at work and completely oblivious their lives had changed forever when we called to break the news. 

“No! You’re telling me we’ve won Set for Life?!” the winning woman cried. 

“Are you kidding me! No! Are you serious? No, come on! This has to be a joke. 

“If you are lying right now or this is a joke, I don’t know what I will do. Please tell me this is true. “Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! No, it can’t be true! Holy sh**! This changes everything for us! 

“You don’t know what this means to us. This is everything. This will change our whole world. 

“I can barely breathe right now. I can’t stop crying. This is insane! 

“We’ve had such a tough year, and things have not been easy. So many bad things have happened. 

“We have our own business and things have been really tough with that. This means we can take time off from work and do the things we have always wanted to do. 

“We will definitely look at working less. Maybe we will go part-time, maybe we won’t work at all. 

“We just want to take it easy and relax. That’s what this means for us.

"We have worked so hard for years and years, and now we don’t have to anymore. 

“We will start that today! We are going to take the rest of the day off work and go out and do lots of celebrating. 

“We can help our family too, which is just amazing. And we can help set our kids up for the future.” 

The winning woman didn’t waste any time breaking the exciting news to her husband. 

“Oh my god! I need to go tell my husband,” she cried as she ran to tell him of their win. 

“Honey, we’ve won Set for Life! We’ve won! I’m not kidding. We are Set for Life now!” 

“What the hell?! Are you joking! Oh my god. Thank you so much,” the winning husband screamed.

This marks the 86th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the 16th Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
