A Rosebud woman is merrily rewriting her Christmas and New Year plans after revealing a golden $24,000 Instant Scratch-Its prize. 

The top prize winning $5 24K Gold ticket was purchased at McCrae Lotto, Shop 17, 739 Point Nepean Road, McCrae. 

This morning, we called the Victorian, who relayed the moment she uncovered her instant win. 

“My husband and I purchase Instant Scratch-Its tickets every week. We love them!” he said. 

“We’re big scratchie fans. We’ve never won a top prize, but we’d been dreaming of that moment. 

“I was just sitting on the couch, watching some TV and having a cup of coffee when I scratched it. It’s something I do each time I scratch a ticket. 

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw I’d won the top prize. I checked it so many times to be sure. It felt very surreal. 

“My husband didn’t believe it either! I think we spent a long time just staring at the ticket. 

“Once it started to sink in, we got really excited. There were a few hugs and lots of smiles. 

“It’s not every day that you win $24,000! It’s awesome. Thank you!” 

The self-proclaimed Instant Scratch-Its lover confessed she still needed to cement her plans for the prize. 

“It’s an amazing win and it will make for a lovely Christmas,” she shared. 

“But I am not really sure what we will do with it. But we’ll certainly put it to good use!”
