A Launceston man is planning a dream road trip in his brand new caravan after scoring a top prize of $10,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket. 

His winning $1 Instant Scratch-Its Sloth Dosh ticket was purchased at Mr Lotto – Invermay, 63-65A Invermay Road, Invermay. 

Confirming his win with us this morning, the Tasmanian player relived the moment he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. 

“I scratched the ticket over Easter,” he explained. 

“When I saw the symbols, I thought I was seeing things. 

“I had to go get my glasses to double check the ticket and then I had to get everyone in my family to have a look as well. 

“It was fantastic! 

“I don’t play Instant Scratch-Its very often at all so it was really great surprise.” 

When asked how he planned to enjoy his instant windfall, the winner revealed his prize was already spent. 

“Well you wouldn’t believe it but just before I won my prize, I bought myself a nice new caravan,” he said. 

“So this will go straight towards paying off my caravan. 

“Hopefully I will be able to hit the road soon, I can’t wait!”
