An Adelaide man has confessed he thought his eyes were deceiving him when he saw he had won the entire division one prize pool of $10 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.

The stunned winner scored the only division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1332, drawn Tuesday 27 August 2019.
As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the Adelaide man’s 50-game QuickPick entry also scored division six, bolstering his prize by another $23.85.

When we reached out to the winner this morning to confirm the news, the winner confessed he initially thought the win was an error.

“I’m hoping you are calling up to tell me that there wasn’t a computer glitch and I did in fact win?” he joked.

“That’s a bit weird! It’s so surreal.

“I checked my ticket online last night and I thought I was reading it wrong.

“I called my missus over to check it too and we were sure there must be some mistake.

“I thought there must be some computer glitch or something so I was worried you’d be calling me up to let me know I didn’t win.

“I never imagined it could be true that I did win. It’s so weird!”

When asked how it felt to be an overnight multi-millionaire, the winner confessed it was a strange feeling.

“That is the weirdest thing anyone has ever said to me. I can’t fathom I am a multi-millionaire!” he laughed.

“I haven’t even given it any thought to how I would spend it. We didn’t do anything to celebrate. I just wanted to get confirmation of what was happening.

“I don’t think I’ll give up work yet. You have to do something with your days!

“So me and my missus are off to work and we are sending the kids off to school. It’s business as usual today!

“Although I might go and spend that extra $23 dollars I won! I don’t mind spending that all at once!”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 50-game QuickPick online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
