An Adelaide retiree has woken up a multi-millionaire after taking home the jackpot prize of $5 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw. 

The stunned winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1344, drawn Tuesday 19 November 2019, and takes home the entire jackpot prize of $5 million. 

We contacted the winner this morning, who was completely oblivious to his life-changing windfall. 

“Wow,” he eventually managed. 

“That’s so incredible to hear. I can’t believe it.   

“I’ve been playing for a very long time, so I’m thrilled this day has finally arrived! 

“This is going to really change my life! 

“I never thought I’d become a multi-millionaire but I suppose I am now!” 

When asked how he planned to enjoy his incredible prize, the shocked winner said he’d plan the best retirement he could imagine. 

“I’m retired so this is certainly going to help me during my retirement,” he said. 

“I’ve got plenty of children to share this prize with and I’ll definitely be going on some unforgettable holidays. 

“It will be great!” 

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 25-game QuickPick entry at The Grove Newsagency, Shops 28B-28C, Golden Grove Village Shop, Golden Grove. The Grove Newsagency store manager Sonia Taylor said there was plenty of excitement in the outlet this morning. 

“It’s absolutely incredible that one of our customers has won this life-changing prize,” she said. 

“We were so excited when we saw this morning that we’d sold the division one winning entry and we’re absolutely thrilled for the winner! 

“Congratulations to him! We have no doubt he will enjoy his prize.”
