Last night's $40 million Oz Lotto jackpot prize was taken out by one winning entry! However, as the entry was unregistered we had no way of contacting the winner with the amazing news.  Thankfully, this afternoon we were officially able to call off the search for the country’s newest multi-millionaire with a Western Sydney dad this afternoon coming forward to claim his $40 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

The Sydney resident held the only division one winning entry in last night’s Oz Lotto draw 1329 on Tuesday 6 August 2019, walking away with $40 million.

Confirming his mind-blowing prize with us this afternoon, the winner revealed he’d checked his entry last night and had spent the morning coming to terms with the incredible revelation.

“I haven’t slept at all,” he laughed.

“There was no way I was sleeping last night after I checked my ticket!

“I saw that I had five of the seven winning numbers so I thought I’d probably won a prize.

“But then I realised I had all seven winning numbers! I just couldn’t believe it.

“I don’t think I’ll be sleeping much tonight either.”

The hardworking dad said he’d need to take some time to think of exactly how he’d enjoy his prize but said the possibilities were endless.

“I still have no idea what I’ll do with the prize,” he exclaimed.

“I’ve already popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate! I’ll definitely be sharing it with my family!

“After that, who knows!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at AK Newstalk, Shop 1004, 17 Patrick Street, Blacktown.

AK Newstalk is no stranger to big wins, having sold a number of division one winning entries over the years.

In October 2015, it sold a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot entry that landed a customer $10,015,014.00.

AK Newstalk owner Rohit Gupta said he was filled with emotion when he discovered his outlet had sold the division one winning Oz Lotto entry.

“I’m over-the-moon just knowing my outlet has sold an entry worth $40 million. I couldn’t possibly imagine how our customer is feeling right now!” he exclaimed.

“It’s very exciting to know we have changed this man’s life in a big way.

“Congratulations to him and we hope he enjoys every second of his win!”

In addition to the $40 million division one winner, there were 632,508 winners across divisions two to seven in last night's Oz Lotto draw who collectively took home more than $14.5 million!
