Melbourne man planning for retirement and a change of scenery following $10 million Oz Lotto win
A Melbourne man confessed he cracked a stubbie, smiled, and simply stared at his winning entry after realising he’d won more than $10 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The Victorian resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1512, drawn Tuesday 7 February 2023. He scored $10,040,989.20.
“It’s a pretty good effort isn’t it!” the winning man laughed when we confirmed the winning news.
“I buy tickets from all over Melbourne when I get the chance. It’s a little superstition of mine that finally came to fruition.
“You wouldn’t believe how good I feel this morning.
“It’s going to change my life!
“I’m going to retire and buy a property in Queensland. That’s the place I feel the happiest.
“Honestly, I’m struggling to process it. I can’t believe it’s real.
“The world is my oyster now, and I plan on enjoying every moment from now on.
“Thank you so much!”
His winning System-9 QuickPick entry was purchased at Broadway Lotto, 238 Broadway, Reservoir.
Broadway Lotto owner Simon Alan said it was always an amazing to play a part in changing someone’s life forever.
“This is our third division one winner in the last five years! I tell you what, it never gets old,” he said.
“It’s just fantastic to know we’ve helped someone in the community to have a better life.
“We always say, we sell hopes and dreams and sometimes those dreams come true.
“I’m going to have balloons and streamers up to let everyone know we sold a division one winning entry. It’s cause for celebration!
“To our winner; enjoy it, let it sink in and all the best for the future.”
