Narellan couple come forward as mystery Oz Lotto multi-millionaires
Almost a week after the draw a Narellan couple have checked their Oz Lotto ticket to discover they’re the mystery multi-millionaires we've been searching for.
The western Sydney retirees held one of the two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1352, drawn Tuesday 14 January 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $5,209,329.11.
Sharing their disbelief with us this morning, the pair said they’d just checked their ticket at their local newsagency.
“We’ve won five million dollars?” they questioned.
“Oh gosh. I’m going to cry,” the woman laughed.
“This is so exciting!
“We only check our tickets once a week. We had no idea we’d been walking around with this winning ticket in our wallet!
“It’s incredible. We cannot believe it.
“We cannot comprehend this amount of money at all. We really can’t!”
When asked how they thought they might enjoy their multi-million-dollar prize, the overwhelmed couple said they’d need to calm down before they could think straight.
“Wow. We have no idea right now. We will really have to think,” they laughed.
“I guess there’s plenty we can do with our prize! Our options are pretty much endless.
“We will have to sit down and make a plan when we’ve calmed down.
“We’re going to really enjoy it, that’s for sure!”
The winning 3-game marked Oz Lotto entry was purchased at Narellan Newsagency, Shop 33, Narellan Town Centre, 326 Camden Valley Way.
Narellan Newsagency employee Dee Appleton said 2020 was off to a winning start for the outlet.
“It’s so exciting to unite these winners with their prize and it’s great that this amazing prize has gone to our local customers,” she said.
“It’s an incredible prize and we’re just so happy for them.
“It’s been great to kick off the year selling this winning entry and we hope it’s the beginning of many more for our customers.”
