One or more Aussies could receive the phone call of a lifetime if they score a slice of Powerball’s whopping $100 million jackpot on Thursday night!   

Powerball draw 1475 on Thursday 22 August 2024 has reached this level after there were no division one winners for the past four draws. This is the third biggest prize offered to players by any lottery game in 2024!

Ahead of this huge draw, our team have been busy crunching the numbers to reveal the Aussie regions where the most division one wins have landed.

Over the 12 months ending 30 June 2024, there were 19 Powerball division one winning entries across Australia, collectively worth more than $758 million in prize money. 

During this time, lottery history was made after a single South Australian player pocketed the entire $150 million Powerball jackpot, becoming the biggest individual lottery winner in Australian history.

Of the 19 division one winning entries, eight landed in New South Wales, six in Victoria, three in Queensland, and one each in South Australia and Western Australia.

  • In the ACT, the postcode of 2911 for Mitchell sold the territory’s biggest division one prize. 
  • In Victoria, the postcode 3000 for Melbourne sold four division one winning entries. 
  • In Tasmania, the postcode 7320 for Burnie sold the Apple Isle’s biggest division one prize. 
  • In South Australia, the postcode 5108 for Salisbury sold South Australia’s biggest division one prize. 
  • In the top-end, the postcode 0810 for Casuarina delivered the Northern Territory’s biggest division one prize. 
  • In Western Australia, the postcode 6054 for Bassendean sold two division one winning entries.
