From joyful cheers to moments of stunned silence, our winners experienced a rollercoaster of emotions this week. Here are some of our favourite reactions:

Sydney couple’s bedtime rocked by Oz Lotto win

A Galston couple were nodding off to sleep Tuesday evening when we called with the life-altering news they’d won $40 million in Oz Lotto. The duo confessed they usually play Powerball but decided to give Oz Lotto a chance this time and thanked their lucky stars for doing so.

“You’re joking! Oh my god!” the stunned woman screamed.

“I was just nodding off, falling asleep when you rang.

“This is going to give us some time. It buys us time to be able to do the things we want to do. And help the people in your life that have helped you and you want to help them back.

“I always say that I’ve already won the lottery because I live in Australia, I’m healthy and I met my beautiful wife.”

University student wins life-changing Set for Life prize

A Melburnian in his 20s woke up with butterflies in his stomach, after discovering his Set for Life win where he will receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

“I bought my ticket at the very last minute, and I nearly didn’t go through with it!” he exclaimed.

“It wasn’t until I was going to bed last night around 11pm that I decided to see how my ticket went. I was expecting division four or five, not division one!

“Maybe I’ll buy a house, go on a holiday, or buy a new car but I need to have think about it all."

Upper Coomera couple’s ‘oh my god’ moment

An Upper Coomera couple told us they thought they’d done well securing a $1,000 prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, until they realised they’d actually pocketed a hefty $1 million.

“This morning, I just decided to check the ticket. At first, all I saw were the first four numbers and I went to my partner, ‘We’ve won $1,008’, ” she laughed.

“We normally only win $15 so I got him to check the ticket on the computer.

“He looked at the screen and said, ‘It’s not $1,008’ and I said, ‘Yes, it is!’ and then he said, “It’s $1 million!’.

“It was an ‘oh my god’ moment.

“We’re feeling very blessed.”

Victorian retiree sets sail on a series of luxurious cruises

Whilst some winners struggle to piece words together, a Hamilton retiree knew exactly what she’d do after scoring a life-enhancing million-dollar TattsLotto win.

“I’ve played the same numbers for 30 years. They consist of some birthdates and odd numbers,” she shared.

“I’ve got a cruise booked for the end of the year and I had to save up for that one but now I’ll be able to book some more!

“I’ll go anywhere! I’ve got plenty of destinations in mind.”

How do you think you’d handle a major lottery prize?  We sure hope to call you with good news soon and find out. Good luck, everyone!
