More than a week after the draw, a Box Hill man has come forward to claim his $2 million TattsLotto prize, revealing he’d been on a holiday and hadn’t had the chance to check his ticket.

There were five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4211, drawn Saturday 27 November 2021. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $2 million.

Speaking with us this morning, the happy man relayed the exciting moment he uncovered his win.

“I’d been away on a holiday actually, so I had no idea I’d even won,” he laughed.

“I scanned the ticket on The Lott app when I got home last week, and I was absolutely blown away.

“I showed my wife, and she didn’t believe it either. She told me that we couldn’t talk about it until we’d received the money. So, we’ve been tight-lipped about it all.

“I couldn’t believe it! It’s so much more than I ever dreamed I’d win.

“I’ve taken a few days to claim the prize because I had to let the news sink in. It’s awesome!

“I will go out this weekend with my wife and we will have a big night to celebrate.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the Victorian admitted he had a few ideas.

“We’ll pay off the mortgage first and then we will invest some too,” he shared.

“We’ll also plan some trips to Europe and then the rest we will save for the future.”

The winning entry was purchased at Box Hill South Newsagency, 870 Canterbury Road, Box Hill South

The Box Hill South Newsagency team are thrilled their winner has now come forward to claim his prize and wish him all the very best.
