Leongatha footy fan scores $550,000 TattsLotto prize
A Leongatha man feels as though he’s kicked a goal of his own after he received confirmation he won division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw while watching footy on the TV yesterday afternoon.
The winning Victorian held one of the nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4477 on Saturday 15 June 2024. Each division one winning entry pocketed $541,052.71.
In addition to the division one prize, the man’s marked System 9 entry also scored division three 18 times, division four 45 times and division six 20 times, bolstering his total prize to $558,816.31.
“Wow! Thank you!” the winning man exclaimed.
“I’m just sitting here watching the footy!
“Last night, I checked the numbers and I saw I had all six winning numbers, but I couldn’t see how much I’d won!
“I’ve been playing these numbers for a long time. I can’t remember how long, but it’s been years since I won anything with them.
“But I kept playing those numbers. I just do it for the fun of it.
“So, I’m a bit surprised!
“This will come in very handy for my retirement and I’ve also got children and grandchildren I’ll share it with.
“It’ll put a smile on their faces for sure!”
The man’s winning marked System 9 entry was purchased at Nextra Leongatha Newsagency, 30 Blair Street, Leongatha.
Nextra Leongatha Newsagency owners Raj Joshi and Dipti Thumar said they were thrilled to see their outlet sell another division one winning entry.
“Being an outlet that has sold a division one winning entry is a moment of great pride and excitement. Dreams can come true!” Raj said.
“We're thrilled to have played a part in this life-changing event and wish the winner all the best for the future. It's a reminder that every ticket holds the potential for magic and we're honoured to be part of that journey.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the division one winner. May this life-changing win bring immense joy, fulfilment, and prosperity to their life.”
