A Point Cook couple have kept their eyes on the prize, quite literally after realising their TattsLotto ticket had scored them a hefty win worth more than $830,000.

The New South Wales residents held one of the six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4479, drawn Saturday 22 June 2024. Each entry took home $832,394.47.

The gleeful duo were still reeling with excitement when we spoke to them this morning.

“I’m absolutely wrapped! I’m still in denial! We’re pinching ourselves over here,” the winning man said.

“I checked the ticket first thing in the morning. I woke up my partner straight away.

“I wouldn’t normally wake her up first thing Sunday morning, but I had pretty good reason to. She thought so too!

“We haven’t taken our eyes off the ticket since, and we’ve been making sure we don’t let the house ‘burn down’ in the meantime!

“We just can’t believe it. It doesn’t feel real and we’re just so grateful.

“It’s a lot of money for us. We can clear our mortgage and we’ve been let down in other areas lately so this couldn’t have come at a better time.

“We’re not extravagant people but it will really just cushion us nicely. We can feel secure.

“Thank you. We are truly so grateful!”

The couple’s 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Point Cook Lotto, Shop 16, Featherbrook Shopping Centre, 238 Boardwalk Boulevard, Point Cook.

Point Cook Lotto owner Layla Eva said it was great news her outlet had sold a major winning entry.

“We’re very surprised and excited at the same time! It’s the second division one winning entry we’ve sold within six months,” she said.

“It’s also the fourth in the last four years. Perhaps we’re a lucky store!

“It feels great to serve the locals and be a beacon of hopes and dreams! We feel proud to be a part of this vibrant community.

“Our warmest congratulations to the fortunate winner!”
