Hardworking Edwardstown man set to retire after winning $50,000 Keno Spot 8!
A hardworking Edwardstown man has decided 2018 is his year for travelling in retirement after winning the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 2321305 on Friday 29 December 2017.
The happy winner explained that retirement had been on the cards for a while, but after winning $50,000 on a Keno Spot 8 entry purchased at Castle Plaza Lotteries Kiosk, he was ready to ramp up his plans.
“When I saw that I had won I was in shock – but happy shock!” the man exclaimed.
“It came at a really good time as I was planning on retiring this month. I think I will go on a holiday to Europe.
“I’m retired now so I can go – I think it deserve it after working for years!
"The regular Keno player revealed he would continue to play Keno frequently despite his $50,000 windfall.
“I’ve been playing for a while and usually win maybe $5 or $10, I even won $100 so I will definitely keep playing."
The winning Spot 8 entry in Keno draw 2321305 was purchased at Castle Plaza Lotteries Kiosk, Southern Kiosk, Castle Plaza, 1000 South Road, Edwardstown.
Cathy Groves, team member of Castle Plaza Lotteries Kiosk, said it was exciting that a regular customer had won the Spot 8 prize.
“We haven’t had a big win for a couple of years so it is really exciting for us!” she exclaimed.
“We are so pleased a regular customer and local to the area has won the prize and wish them all the best with their win.”
So far this financial year, there were 14 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who landed more than $2.7 million.
Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
