A mystery Elizabeth shopper picked up more than just a new outfit or a few groceries during late night shopping when they purchased a winning Keno Spot 8 entry into draw 2357655 on Thursday 12 April, taking home a prize of $50,000. 

What the winner plans to do with their prize will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private. 

The winning Keno Spot 8 entry was purchased from Russell’s Newsagency, Shop 5, South Mall, Elizabeth Shopping Centre, 50 Elizabeth Way, Elizabeth.

Russell’s Newsagency team member Denise Thornton said she was thrilled that the outlet had sold a major prize. 

“We’ve sold a few winning lottery entries over the years but this is our first major prize for Keno!” she exclaimed. 

“We were really surprised when we discovered the news and are really excited for our customer. 

“We are glad they will be able to enjoy $50,000!” 

Last financial year, there were 27 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who landed more than $5.98 million.  Spot 10 was won twice during this time, remarkably both on the same day, 1 May 2017.
