A Port Adelaide dad is planning a special Christmas surprise for his family after this morning discovering he was the mystery $2 million Spot 10 Jackpot winner from yesterday’s Keno draw.
 
The retired man’s Spot 10 entry in Keno draw 2317556 on Monday 18 December 2017 delivered a total prize of $2,017,662.20.
 
As the winning entry was not registered to an Easiplay Club card, SA Lotteries had no way of knowing who the mystery multi-millionaire winner was and had been waiting for the ticketholder to check their entry.
 
Speaking to an SA Lotteries official this morning just moments after discovering his good fortune, the ecstatic winner admitted he was still shaking from the news.
 
“Unbelievable!!” he exclaimed.
 
“I had no idea I until I checked my ticket this morning!
 
“I’ve been a regular Keno player but usually I just win $2!  This is way better!
 
“It’s come at a fantastic time.  I’m going to make a great big dent in my adult children’s mortgages.  I’ll going to break the news to them on Christmas Day!

“I think I might win the best dad award that day!”

Apart from surprising his family on Christmas Day, the family man also plans on treating himself, possibly with some travel.
 
“This win will be a great start to the new year!” he said.
 
“It’s very surreal.  I don’t know who is shaking more – me or the bloke at the outlet!
 
“I’m going to guard this ticket with my life!”
 
It is the first Keno Spot 10 Jackpot winning entry since May this year when remarkably two Keno Spot 10 Jackpot were won on the same day.
 
The winning Spot 10 entry in Keno draw 2317556 was purchased at Port Adelaide Papershop, shop 11, Old Port Canal Shopping Centre, Commercial Road, Port Adelaide.  
 
Port Adelaide Papershop also sold a $1 million dollar division one winning entry in September.
 
Port Adelaide Papershop owner Michael Groves said he was thrilled to have made another customer a millionaire.
 
“Are we the luckiest shop in town or what?!” he exclaimed.
 
“We are so excited to have been able to give away another couple of million dollars!  It’s serious money – especially just before Christmas.
 
“It’s going to change a few people’s lives for sure!”
