Findon man oblivious to $2.1 million Keno 10 Spot win for three days
A Findon man has spent the weekend oblivious to the fact he was walking around a multi-millionaire after scoring a Keno Spot 10 prize worth $2,128,212.20 in draw 2506142, drawn Friday 14 June 2019.
When we phoned this morning to break the life-changing news, the winner confessed he had an “inkling” he might be the winner.
“I didn’t know for sure but I had some sense that there was something going on,” he admitted.
“I’d heard it was going off down at the newsagency where I purchased my ticket but I didn’t know for sure what had happened.
“It feels pretty good to know they were going off about a multi-million dollar winner and that winner is me!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his newly-minted millionaire status, the Adelaide man revealed the news was yet to sink in properly.
“I’m very happy but I just don’t know!” he laughed.
“I don’t know. There are lots of things I could do with it! I’ll just have to wait and see.”
The stoked bloke, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno 10 Spot entry at Rex’s Findon Newsagency, Shop 11, 303 Grange Road, Findon.
Rex’s Findon Newsagency owner David Rex said it was a great feeling knowing the winner had been united with their prize.
“When we saw we had sold a winning entry on the screen we were wondering who it might be!” he explained.
“It’s excellent to hear it is a local and a regular player.
“The win has created a bit of a buzz through the store and we’ve been celebrating by putting up balloons and streamers to create a fun atmosphere.
“We’ve seen a few more players trying their luck at our store hoping lightning strikes twice which is great.
“This is the biggest Keno win we’ve ever sold. A couple of years ago we sold a Keno Spot 8 winning entry but it’s the biggest win we’ve had in a few years!”
