Kingston SE man to celebrate $50,000 Keno win with beers and a BBQ with ‘the boys’
Almost ten days after the draw, a Kingston SE man has discovered he won a $50,000 Keno prize – with plans to celebrate with beers and a BBQ with ‘the boys’.
The ecstatic winner scored the Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 210508325 drawn Saturday 8 May 2021 and takes home $50,000.
Speaking with us this afternoon, the South Australian man said he was still coming to terms with the exciting news.
“I only found out yesterday,” he admitted.
“The pub was closing for the night and so I decided to quickly check a few of the tickets I had.
“They told me they couldn’t pay the prize out, so I knew it was a good win.
“Once it was confirmed, I was very, very happy.
“Honestly, it just feels a bit surreal!
“I think I will get the boys over this afternoon for some beers and a BBQ to celebrate.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno prize, the surprisingly calm winner said he already knew exactly what he was going to do.
“I will definitely pay off the mortgage,” he shared.
“I also wouldn’t mind going on a few little holidays as well.”
The winning entry was purchased at Crown Inn Hotel, 31 Agnes Street, Kingston SE.
Crown Inn Hotel’s Tom Gardner said he was celebrating the major prize win.
“When the winner checked his ticket, he was so excited! He had a huge smile on his face,” he said.
“We enjoyed some celebratory beers with him, it was great fun.
“Hopefully the winner thinks of our venue as the venue that delivered him a win!
“The last time we sold a major winning entry was in 2017, so we are thrilled to sell another.
“We couldn’t be happier for our winner. Not only do we serve great food and have excellent service, but now we’re the place to find big Keno wins too!”
