A young mum from Elizabeth still can’t believe she is $50,000 richer after winning Keno Spot 8 on Friday 21 September.

When we spoke to the winner, she happily explained how she came to hold her dream-come-true Keno Spot 8 entry.

“I was out for lunch with my Mum and she likes to play Keno,” the excited winner said.

“So I thought I’d just put one on too! I couldn’t believe it when I saw my numbers come up on the screen!

“Mum is a little jealous I won and she didn’t, so I’m going to make sure I buy her something!”

While the thrilled winner doesn’t have any specific plans on how she’d like to spend her Keno Spot 8 win yet, she looks forward to helping her family and buying something special for her Mum.

“I still don’t believe it. I don’t think I’ll believe it until I see it in my bank account,” she said.

“I will definitely use it to help my family – hopefully spend some more time at home!”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning Spot 8 entry while having lunch at Red Lion Hotel, 173 Woodford Road, Elizabeth North.

Manager at the Red Lion Hotel, Stephen Firth, said he was thrilled for the local winner.

“It was just wonderful!” he exclaimed.

“Everyone here was so happy for our customer. It’s always great when a local and a regular wins a big prize.

“We had been hoping for a big win for a while, so it’s great we’ve finally got one!

“We wish the winner all the best with their prize!”
