A woman from Morphett Vale in Adelaide’s south is excitedly making plans to take a holiday in the sun and purchase a new car after winning a $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize.

The happy woman was busy shopping when she played her regular numbers and matched all eight to win the Spot 8 prize but didn’t discover the good news until she got home.

“I’m absolutely stunned! It’s unbelievable. It really is!” she exclaimed.

“I’ve been playing with the same numbers for nearly 30 years. I must have counted the numbers on the ticket at least 100 times to be sure they were right.

“I’ve been carefully looking after my ticket ever since.”

She purchased the winning Keno Spot 8 entry from Colonnades Newsagency, Shop 15-16, Centro Colonnades, Beach Road, Noarlunga Centre.

“I was out shopping when I bought the ticket and waited until I got home to look up the result on the computer. I still can’t believe it!” she said.

“With the prize, I’m looking to buy a new car – I desperately need one. I’ve had my eye on something new for a while now.

“I’m also in the process of booking a holiday somewhere warm, so it’s exciting to have some extra spending money.”

Mariah Wilson is a staff member at Colonnades Newsagency and was excited to know one of their customers had cracked the Spot 8 prize.

“We’re still not sure who won, or who sold it, but we’re really glad she’s come forward to claim the prize because we were starting to worry the ticket may have been lost!” Ms Wilson exclaimed.

“Whoever our winner is, we wish them congratulations and hope they enjoy their holiday!”

Colonnades Newsagency sold another $50,000 winning Keno Spot 8 entry in February 2016, which was won by a woman from the southern suburbs of Adelaide who said the win was ‘heaven sent’.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80.

To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
