Men's Shed syndicate start building Lotto lists after TattsLotto division one win!
Thirty-three Queenscliff Men’s Shed members will be crafting their Lotto Lists instead of building furniture after their private syndicate won division one in Saturday TattsLotto.
The private syndicate held one of three division one winning entries nationally, each taking home a division one prize of $1,326,203,89.
As well as winning division one, the Men’s Shed syndicate also won division six two times, bolstering their total prize to $1,326,231.69 or $40,188.83 per share.
When speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm the win, the syndicate leader confessed he was flabbergasted by the news.
“Bloody hell! Excuse my French!” the man laughed as the news sunk in.
“Fair dinkum? Let me write that number down. Am I allowed to panic? Just fantastic! How much was it again?
“I’m in a syndicate with a few of us from the Men’s Shed. That’s fantastic! That’s brilliant! Thank you!”
When asked how he planned to spend his share of the winnings, the syndicate leader revealed he was just happy to share the prize with his friends.
“I think I’m just going to enjoy the moment for now!” he exclaimed.
“It’s good though – It’s great to share it with 33 people. They’ll be very happy!”
The happy syndicate leader revealed he couldn’t wait to share the winning news with the other syndicate members.
“We’ve been going in together for a long time and every time I go in to the Men’s Shed they always ask me ‘How did we go?’ and I tell them ‘It would be nice if you ask me how I am first!’” he chuckled.
“It’s a good group, they’re all great! We’ll celebrate nicely, I’m sure there will be a big presentation here!
“I think I’ll call them today – I’ll call one and get them to spread the news around!”
The syndicate leader, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning 36-game QuickPick entry from Drysdale Lotto, shop 8, Drysdale Village Shopping Centre, Drysdale.
Jack Breen, owner of Drysdale Lotto, said he was thrilled to have sold another division one winning entry.
“We’ve sold three division one winning entries previously and its exciting to have sold another.” He said.
“We are so pleased it has gone to Drysdale locals and we wish them all the best with their prize!”
The six winning numbers in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3823 on Saturday 10 March 2018 were 2, 4, 44, 34, 31 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 27.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries – one each in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 299 so far this financial year, including 106 won by Tatts customers.
