“I’m so shocked!”: Ballarat man celebrates his super $1.7 million TattsLotto win with a Zooper Dooper
The first thing a Ballarat man planned to do after discovering his glistening $1.7 million TattsLotto win was to put his feet up and enjoy an icy Zooper Dooper to cool down from the revelation.
The Victorian held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4317, drawn Saturday 3 December 2022, and takes home a total prize of $1,711,673.77.
The buoyant blue-collar worker received the shock of his life when he came home from work to missed calls from us trying to notify him about his newfound fortune.
“Wow, oh wow! Are you serious?!” he gasped.
“This is amazing news. I was unable to check my phone at work, so I’ve only had the chance to call you back now.
“I had to quickly grab my TattsLotto ticket out of the tool chest in my garage – it’s my safekeeping spot!
“I usually squeeze in an entry for Saturday’s draw on Thursday night because I never have time on the weekend when spending time with the kids. Then, the following Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night, I check my tickets.
“You’ve got me at the perfect time because I didn’t have a clue! I’m so shocked.
“I seriously think I’m going to go sit on the couch and enjoy a Zooper Dooper to cool me down!
“This is the best phone call.”
With $1.7 million about to land into his bank account days before Christmas, the delighted dad said he had a few things to tick off his wish list.
“I’ll definitely prioritise helping my family. I’m all about giving and sharing around,” he exclaimed.
“I can pay off the house mortgage, which is a bonus!
“I really like my job, so I’ll continue to work.
“Afterwards, I’ll sit tight and let the dust settle!”
His winning 18-game QuickPick was purchased at Nextra Bridge Mall, 68-70 Bridge Mall, Ballarat.
Nextra Bridge Mall owner Josephine To said she had tears in her eyes after discovering her team had sold it’s second major lottery prize in less than one year.
“It’s absolutely amazing! We’ve taken over ownership of the business and in less than one year we’ve already sold two major lottery prizes,” she said.
“It was only in June when one of our customers won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot. It’s unbelievable that two lucky winners have emerged from our outlet.
“We’ve been sharing the happiness around and gifting customers free treats to show our appreciation. Our team are also celebrating this momentous occasion!
“Congratulations to the local man and his family. We would love to send our blessings and wish them all the best with their prize.”
