Blacktown man in a dreamy daze after million-dollar Monday Lotto discovery
A Blacktown man admitted he thought he was dreaming when he picked up the phone this morning to the life-changing news he’s woken up a millionaire.
The Western Sydney resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3926, on Monday 2 December 2019, taking home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
In addition to scoring division one, the winner’s 18-game marked entry also scored division three 17 times, rounding up his total win to $1,007,791.10.
This morning we contacted the winner, who had gone about his Tuesday completely oblivious to his new millionaire status.
“You’re joking?” he initially questioned.
“Is this true or am I just dreaming?
“Thank you so much. Thank you.
“I can’t believe this! I don’t know say to say.
“This is a huge surprise. I’m so happy.
“I’ve been playing those numbers for a long time and they’ve finally appeared.
“This is a blessing!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his million-dollar win, the generous man had a few ideas that came straight to mind.
“I have a mortgage so the first thing I’ll do is pay it off,” he declared.
“Then I will give some to charity and then the rest I’ll have to think about.
“We usually have to save so hard to go on a holiday so we will definitely be doing that!”
The million-dollar winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket was purchased at KY Newsagency Doonside, Shop 2, Rainbow Centre, 52 Rosenthal Street, Doonside.
KY Newsagency Doonside owner Keyi Dong said the outlet was on a winning streak.
“We sold a division one winning entry only four months ago so we are so excited,” she said.
“Our customers believe we are such a lucky store. We’ve now sold two division one winning entries within four months.
“I wish our winner all the very best with their life-changing prize!”
