Esk woman struggles to process sensational $5.2 million Saturday Gold Lotto win
An Esk woman has confessed it’s going to take some time before she’s able to wrap her around the fact she’s a newly made millionaire after scoring the entire $5.2 million prize pool in Saturday Gold Lotto.
The Somerset Region resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4335, drawn Saturday 4 February 2023. Her winning entry scored a total prize of $5,291,713.30.
“Wait, you’re not joking, right? You’re not joking?!” she screamed after we confirmed her winning news.
“Oh my god. I’m crying!
“This is going to change my life. My heart feels like it’s going to beat out of my chest.
“Do you promise you’re not teasing me?
“Wow! I’m going to be able to pay off the mortgage, visit my family overseas and set up my children for the future.
“This is so wonderful! I almost didn’t pick up the phone because I didn’t recognise the phone number.
“Thank you so much.”
The winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Esk News, 130 Ipswich Street, Esk.
Esk Newsagency owner Dion Wengel said the team were incredibly excited to have sold the only division one entry in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
“We’re going to be shouting this news from the rooftops of Esk!” he said.
“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold so it’s an extremely exciting day for us.
“We hope there are more to come and wish our winning customer all the best for the future!”
