Generous Bulleen grandfather to liven up Christmas thanks to $930,000 TattsLotto win
A Bulleen man reckons he and his family are all set for a “pretty good Christmas” after scoring a division one prize worth over $930,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Melbourne bloke held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4109, drawn Saturday 5 December 2020. Each entry takes home a division one prize worth $906,269.30.
As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled winner’s System 10 marked entry also scored him division three 24 times, division four 90 times and division six 80 times, boosting his total prize to $930,248.00.
Sharing his excitement with us this morning, the winner recounted the moment he realised he was a division one winner.
“Thank you very much! I looked at it about six times! I wasn’t sure if it was right or not!” he laughed.
“It feels really good to hear it confirmed. What can I say? I don’t think it’s sunk in.
“I’ve been playing those numbers for about a month now. There are a few family birthdays thrown in there as well as random numbers.
“I change up my numbers quite a lot. I never like sticking to the same numbers. Imagine if you play the same numbers every week and you miss it once, and they win. You’d be upset!
“That’s why I always change them.
“I never expected to win this big. It’s a bit of a shock.
“I just play hoping I’ll get something back, maybe enough to buy my next ticket.
“So when I saw I had four numbers I thought ‘you beauty, you’ve got something’. Then I saw I had the fifth number and then the sixth number. I just couldn’t believe it!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his division one windfall, the generous grandfather said he couldn’t wait to make the festive season a bit more fun.
“I reckon we’ll have a pretty good Christmas now!” he declared.
“I’ll definitely use it to help out my kids and spoil the grandkids.
“I haven’t really had much time to think about it yet, but I’m sure I’ll treat myself at some point.
“It’s been a pretty quiet year for us overall, so it’s good to have something to liven it up a bit!”
