“It can’t be me!”: Kurrajong woman in disbelief over $650,000 Saturday Lotto windfall
A Kurrajong woman admits she may not have discovered her incredible $650,000 Saturday Lotto windfall if it hadn’t been for social media post prompting players to check their tickets.
The New South Wales resident held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4313, drawn Saturday 19 November 2022 and takes home $650,262.33.
“I’m still overwhelmed!” the winning woman cheered when we confirmed the winning news.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for years and years.
“I purchased a QuickPick years ago and I really liked the numbers, so I just kept using them.
“I was perusing social media and noticed there was a winning entry purchased where I got mine.
“I thought to myself, ‘It can’t be me! I’m not that lucky!’.
“I checked my ticket, and when I saw the amount, I was overwhelmed.
“If I didn’t see the post looking for the winner on social media, you’d still be looking for me.
“Social media isn’t really my favourite, but I guess it’s not so bad after all.
“Nothing’s going to change in the short term, I’m going to continue working.
“I haven’t really had time to think about what I’m going to do, but I know it’s going to help me pay off my mortgage!
“Thank you so much.”
Her winning entry was purchased at Londonderry Supermarket & Newsagency, 12 Muscharry Road, Londonderry.
Londonderry Supermarket & Newsagency owner Assef Madrajat said he was over the moon to have sold his third division one winning entry in Saturday Lotto.
“We’ve got balloons, streamers and signs out, and we’re telling everybody that comes into our store,” he said.
“We’re still riding the wave, so our team is going out tonight to celebrate.”
“Congratulations to our winner. We wish her all the best with their prize. We know she deserves it.”
