Tears of relief for Pakenham farmer after $1.4 million TattsLotto win
A hardworking Pakenham farmer has wept tears of relief after discovering he is now over $1.4 million richer form scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The West Gippsland man held one of the 14 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3963, drawn Saturday 13 July 2019.
Each winner takes home a division one prize of $1,428,571.43.
When we broke the life-changing news to him this morning, the overjoyed winner couldn’t contain his tears of relief.
“Thank you. Just thank you! That’s a big win,” he cried.
“We’ve been farming all our lives and we’ve been doing it tough for a while.
“This will mean we are able to pay off all our debts and give us a bit of a break.
“Once that has been done we’ll look at getting someone in to look after the place so we can go on a holiday to Europe.
“It will be good to take a long break!
“I can’t wait to tell my wife. I’m not sure if it’s best to let her get home from work first or to tell her now!
“Either way, I’m not sure she will believe me!”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 50-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
