A Banksia woman who initially thought she won a $69,000 prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw has been bowled over by the fact she actually won more than $690,000.

The Sydneysider held one of the eight division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4339, drawn Saturday 18 February 2023. Each division one winning entry won $685,236.47.

The woman’s marked System 8 entry also scored division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering her total windfall to $693,964.82.

When we reached out to the winner, she was under the impression she had only won a tenth of her true prize.

“What the hell?!? It’s not $69,000? It’s $693,000!!” she exclaimed.

“Woohoo!! I’m so stressed out. I can’t believe it. I’m going to have a heart attack.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for god knows how long. I just used family birthdays and things like that, and that’s what I won on.

“Man, I can’t believe this. Happy days!

“I had no idea.”

The winning woman confessed she would need more time to make plans for her prize, but shared it set the scene for a brighter future for her family.

“I was going to clean the house today, but I tell you what, that’s not happening! We’re celebrating!” she said.

Her marked System 8 entry was purchased at Arncliffe Newsagency, 28 Firth Street, Arncliffe.
