A Blackbutt woman has let the tears flow freely this afternoon after discovering her life was about to change forever thanks to a $1 million windfall from last week’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.

The Shellharbour resident held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4222, drawn Monday 3 October 2022 and scored $1 million.

“I’ve won what? No, you can’t be serious! Oh, my goodness!” she exclaimed when her win was confirmed by an official from The Lott.

“This is surreal.

“I’ve always played the same numbers that my dad played, so it’s amazing.

“It’s time I call work and tell them I won’t be in today. I might not be in ever again!

“My husband and I might just retire now.”

When asked how she planned to spend her newfound fortune, the elated winner confessed she’d barely had time to process the win but that she’d help her family before anything else.

“I’ll be spreading the wealth between my children,” she said.

“It’s going to be an amazing feeling when I get to  tell them to go house hunting or car shopping!”

Her winning entry was purchased at Shellharbour Square Newsagency, Shop 35, 211 Lakes Entrance Road, Shellharbour.
